The inaugural ARAMARK Building Community 2011 Innovation Awards recognized excellence in innovation and programming by local community centers. These awards celebrate and accelerate program models that are improving lives, supporting families, and strengthening communities.
The ARAMARK Building Community Innovation Awards are hosted in partnership with United Neighborhood Centers of America (UNCA) and the Alliance for Children and Families (Alliance) and are open to affiliated members of either of these organizations.
The ARAMARK Building Community 2011 Innovation Awards included three competitive categories and one non-competitive category.
Each competitive category winner received a $20,000 grant to accelerate the innovative program recognized through the award. In addition to the winners, the selection committee chose two to three Honorable Mentions for recognition in each of the three categories. The Leadership Award winner was selected by an independent panel of judges. The awardee’s agency was presented with a $40,000 grant.
